A little back-story about The Bionic Beauty Collection... In January, 2006 I was invited into the deepest heart of glam and made the acquaintance of Tish and Snooky Bellomo, the iconic and lovely counterculture Queens of the Glamazon and founders of Tish and Snooky’s MANIC PANIC, NYC. Since our initial meeting we have become quite friendly. I just adore them! Talk about women who ROCK! 2006 held some great adventures with Tish and Snooky and MANIC PANIC. You can read about several of them on the News and Special Events pages! I knew from the beginning that I wanted to do a collection of "Technicolor" glamour images using the wonderful collection of high intensity hair color and make-up that is the core of the MANIC PANIC line. I set to work right away looking for influences and quite naturally found them in vintage advertising artwork and movie poster illustrations. After feeling beaten over the head with "natural" looks and flat, safe hairstyles for the last 8 years, the hair and make-up fashion trend for the forseeable future is color! You won't find vanilla here. Tish and Snooky's great energy and enthusiastic embrace of my work were a major inspiration for going full tilt with “The Bionic Beauty Collection”. I always love to break free from the box! Special Thanks To The very very pretty and practically perfect Miss Yvonne Perry, the fabulous and flawless Kelly Bird, the gregarious and gorgeous Joanna Palladino, the hunky and handsome Mike Galasso, the enigmatic and ethereal Fabienne Powell, and the striking and star-like Heather Mastracchio for letting me bring out the Bionic Beauty in each of you!
